Historical Timeline

1987 – Kinsgate Consolidated Limited commenced prospecting for gold mineralization in Thailand and later discovered a highly potential gold deposit straddling Phichit, Phetchabun and Phitsanulok provinces.

1993

Akara Resources (formerly Akara Mining Company Limited) was incorporated and registered as a private company under Thai law.

2000

The Company was granted mining leases with a 20-year tenure and licences required for operating a gold mine. The metallurgical processing plant and associated infrastructure were constructed under the “Chatree South Project.”

2001

We commenced our first commercial gold production for the Chatree South Project in November 2001.

2003

The Company expanded the Metallurgical Processing Plant, increasing the nameplate capacity to 1.8 million tonnes per year.

2006

Another expansion to the Metallurgical Processing Plant raised the nameplate capacity to 2.35 million tonnes per year.

2008

The Company was granted mining leases with a 20-year tenure for the “Chatree North Project.” The addition tripled the area available for mining and led to the access of much larger defined Ore Reserves.

2012

The Metallurgical Processing Licence was granted allowing for the expansion of the plant to achieve a nameplate capacity of 5.0 million tonnes per annum.

2013

The Company changed its name to “Akara Resources Public Company Limited.”

2017

The Company experienced a temporary suspension.

2021

The Mineral Commission National Mineral Management Policy Commission (NMMPC) extended the Company’s mining leases for 10 years from 30 December 2021- 29 December 2031

2023
