This award reflects Akara’s strong commitment to conducting its mining business in a responsible, transparent, and sustainable manner. The company successfully underwent a rigorous assessment and verification process under the CSR-DPIM framework, which evaluates performance across environmental management, occupational health and safety, and ongoing social responsibility. This achievement aligns with the Department’s policy to elevate Thailand’s mining industry to internationally recognised standards.

A distinctive feature of this year’s award was the commemorative plaque, which was crafted from stone dust, an industrial by-product from quarrying operations. Through a collaborative process involving local youth and community members, the material was transformed into a meaningful and aesthetically refined piece. The initiative serves as a clear example of how “waste materials” can be reimagined and enhanced into “social value” that is widely recognised and appreciated.

Ms. Yuwathida commented, “We sincerely thank all stakeholders for their continued trust and cooperation with Akara. The CSR-DPIM Continuous Award 2025 is not merely a symbol of recognition, but a commitment for Akara to continue advancing Thailand’s mining industry alongside strong social responsibility, fostering sustainable growth and coexistence for the future.”
