Mechanical Fitter

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintaining equipment for the process plant
  2. Conducting daily PM’s according to the weekly plan
  3. Assist with Workshop housekeeping.
  4. Conduct basic stock inventory control for consumables.
  5. Assist with shutdown preparation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Mechanical Fitter Trades Qualification by a recognised
  • institution or approved Apprenticeship with Mechanical Fitting
  • qualifications.
  • 3 Years experience in the mechanical trades related field.
  • Thailand-approved manual vehicle license.

Preferred

  • Senior First-Aid qualifications.
  • Specialised Boiler Maker / Welding certifications.
  • Reasonable written English language communication skills.
  • Specialist training in process plant equipment.

Technical Skills

Essential

  • Ability to read P&ID and interpret engineering/mechanical drawing.
  • Experience in similar positions within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
  • A good understanding of world class mining standards and associated safety standards (ANSI, BS, IEC & ASTM).
  • Experience with mechanical maintenance, problem-solving and inspection Processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing Industry.
  • Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to demonstrate ‘Safe Working Procedures’ to subordinates.
  • The ability to act alone and make discretionary decisions in a safe, professional and workman like manner.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Pays a high level of attention to standard and detail.
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
  • Is highly motivated and pro-active with a positive attitude.

Junior Mining Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Mining Planning and Design:
    • Assist in preparing and updating detailed mine plans based on geological data, ore body characteristics, and operational constraints.
    • Support the design and optimization of pit configurations, haulage routes, and mining sequences to enhance ore recovery and minimize waste.
    • Contribute to waste dump design and monitor the control of Acid Mine Drainage.
  2. Operational Oversight:
    • Monitor and analyze day-to-day mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
    • Collaborate with mining supervisors and operators to implement best practices and address operational challenges.
    • Assist with record keeping and reporting of mining activities.
  3. Equipment Selection and Optimization:
    • Collaborate in evaluating and selecting appropriate mining equipment and technologies for efficient extraction.
    • Support strategies to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and enhance productivity.
  4. Budgeting and Cost Control:
    • Contribute to the development of mining budgets and cost estimates.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to control and reduce operational expenses.
  5. Safety and Environmental Compliance:
    • Champion safety protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.
    • Implement environmentally sustainable practices, minimizing the impact of mining activities on the surrounding ecosystem and local community.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, surveyors, environmental engineers, and mining contractors.
    • Provide clear and concise reports to management on mining performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  7. Regulation and Compliance:
    • Assist in liaising with Internal Department, and Government Departments.
    • Support Integration of the Life of Mine Plan to ensure alignment with legal requirements and submit the Government mine plan to the relevant authorities.
    • Assist and monitor mining operations, including recording, and submitting mining report to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  8. Other projects specified by the Mine Planning Superintendent or Senior Mining Engineer.

Qualifications

Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (or related field)
• First Aid Certificate
• Thailand-approved manual vehicle license.
Preferred
• Postgraduate studies in one or more of the following: Mineral Economics, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Mining Engineering.
• Member of a Professional Mining or Geoscience Organization.
• DPIM UAV Drone License. (Entrepreneurial or General level)
• DPIM Geologist License. (General or Special Prospecting License)
• Able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

Mining Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervise daily mining activities and ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  2. Enforce safety regulations, conduct safety training, and handle accident investigations.
  3. Manage equipment and resources, ensuring they are utilized effectively and maintained properly.
  4. Monitor and ensure environmental compliance with mining practices and local regulations.
  5. Oversee personnel management, including training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
    6.Plan and schedule production, ensuring that targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
  6. Prepare reports on operational performance, production, and safety.
  7. Assist in budget management, controlling costs and optimizing resource usage.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and environmental teams.
  9. Lead emergency response efforts and crisis management during unforeseen events.
  10. Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging new technologies and methods.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educational Requirements: Degree or diploma in Mining
  • Engineering or a related field.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years in mining operations, with at least 2
  • years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in mining operations, equipment
  • management, environmental compliance, and safety standards.
  • Thailand-approved manual vehicle licence

Preferred

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Physical and Personal Attributes: Ability to work in physically demanding environments and manage complex situations in a supervisory capacity.
  • Preferred: Advanced certifications and project management experience.

Human Resources Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of HR function such as recruitment, manpower planning, compensation & benefits, performance evaluation, training & development, counseling, policies and payroll, etc. 
  • Organise ancillary benefits such as medical insurance, provident funds, and other fringe benefit schemes for employees.
  • Supervising subordinates to perform HR tasks effectively.
  • Liaises with Government Departments to ensure that effective labour relations are maintained and advise Management on Thai labour matters.
  • Maintain records of all employees in accordance with Thai law and Company needs.
  • Support subordinates for the proper training database and matrix.
  • Support employees as needed in their dealings with Revenue and Social Security Departments.
  • Ensure clear and consistent HR policies are effectively communicated and compliant with labor regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resource or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of HRM/HRD experience.
  • Experience in dealing with employee relations and labor issues.
  • Leadership character with good planning, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various platforms such as Tigersoft, etc.
  • Strong command of English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
